Where is your hometown?
Sheboygan, WI
How did you find FIT4MOM?
I had heard of FIT4MOM in California when I worked with new moms. I searched it out when I moved to Cruces as a new mom!
What is/was your career?
Registered Nurse by trade, full time mama by choice
How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM Las Cruces, and what has it done for you?
Since March 2023. I joined as a way to exercise without needing childcare. I found that and also a wonderful community of mamas from all walks of life. I've found moms I can ask all my first time mama questions and also friends to point me to the best date night spot or local vendor for gifts.
What is your favorite class exercise?
The most important stretch. Does that count? I really enjoy all things mini bands. The way the bands help target the little muscles is awesome.
What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?
How quickly you see your behaviors in your child. It has really challenged me to be more mindful in how I act and shown me the areas of growth for myself.
What are three of your favorite things?
Highland cows, sourdough, and espresso
What is your proudest mommy moment so far?
I'm just so proud of how fearless Elizabeth is. She is so open to trying anything. She trusts her body, her abilities, and her intuition about people. I hope I can continue to foster that strong sense of self trust and confidence.
What advice would you give to a new mother?
Do your research. Question everything. Do what feels best for you. Don't give into the fear and guilt mongering. You are the expert on your family. Trust your mama intuition.

If you're debating joining FIT4MOM, just do it! It's been absolutely amazing!
We are so lucky to have Mindy in our village. It wouldn't be the same without her and Elizabeth!
