This month, we're spotlighting a supermom who has been part of our village for over two years! Meet our Mom of the Month for February: Hanna Vineyard

Tell us about who is in your family!

I have two boys. James, who just turned 3, is my sweet, smart, sensitive boy. Daniel will be 2 in March and is the happiest kid I've ever met, and his joy at everything is so infectious.

Where is your hometown?

Las Cruces, NM

How did you find FIT4MOM?

Tori [FIT4MOM Las Cruces’ owner] contacted me through Facebook, I think?

What is/was your career?

Licensed Massage Therapist

How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM Las Cruces, and what has it done for you?

I joined spring/summer of 2022

What is your favorite class exercise?

I like the versatility of band work and the ways it has helped me incorporate more full body movements into my routines.

What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?

The duality of loving someone so much but also feeling so overwhelmed at times. Wanting nothing more than a break and a few minutes of peace once in a while, and then spending the whole time missing them when they're not around. That, or how much more time everyone in the house spends being sick once you have kids.

What are three of your favorite things?

I love performance arts (singing, dancing, acting), I really enjoy cooking and baking, and books/audiobooks are my favorite quiet pastimes.

What is your proudest mommy moment so far?

Any time either boy does something caring or thoughtful without being prompted. It's very special to watch them choose to be kind to others all on their own.

What advice would you give to a new mother?

I know everyone says to take care of yourself, but that's because it really is that important. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Take the nap, eat the snack, and find what makes you feel recharged and replenished.

We are so lucky to have Hanna in our village. It wouldn't be the same without her and her boys!
